Beth’s birthday was on July 16th so if you haven’t wished her a happy birthday yet, do so. I also took her birthday as an opportunity to ask her if she would marry me (she said yes). I am a pretty happy guy right now!

Biking 200 Miles in 2 Days!!!

A century ride (100 miles) is considered to be the equivalent of a runner’s marathon. On August 7th and August 8th I am going to be attempting to do back-to-back century bike rides with my neighbors for the National MS Society Fundraiser. We will be starting early Saturday morning at the Waukesha County Expo Center and finishing at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater that evening; we get to sleep in the dorms that night. The following morning we will be bikeing from Whitewater to the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. I am estimating that it will take us about 6 hours of riding each day – that’s an average speed of just over 16mph for the entire trip.
