Weekend Activities

Gary, Wayne, Chad, and I closed down Standing Rock on Saturday. I would rate that single track as one of the best in the area. Whomever designed them gets props from me! The way they flow from one type of terrain to the next… how they vary in length… how they have multiple climbs and flats… how they are broken out by distance… how well they are maintained…

Right after our ride, Tim and Tanya S. stopped in for their final ride at Standing Rock for the year. We were harrassed for not calling them though. I’ll call next time Tim!

Sunday morning I went with Jared and Chad out on the Wisconsin river for a bit of duck hunting. I got my tail up at 4:15 and made it to Schofield Park by 4:45 (thank goodness for coffee). Though we returned with no waterfowl, each of us shot at least once. I think the next time we go we have to change our strategy slightly to allow for distance. We had approximately 25 ducks come in at differing times and came away empty.

I wanted to rake Sunday afternoon but started raining so I did some work for PPW, took Logan trick er treating, and managed to get the Marin up and running again. Logan and I did about a three block radius and filed his bucket to about three quarters. After trick er treating,

Lutsen Downhilling / Chequamegon Ride

Chad, Wayne, Josh and I loaded up Friday morning for Lutsen to accomplish a lil downhilling. We loaded up Waynes trailer which held our four bikes and most of our gear. We used Chad’s Jeep Liberty to haul the trailer, us, and gear
