Blasted Full of Beechwood Mud

I had the pleasure of doing the 2nd Annual Beechwood Blaster this Saturday up in the Kettles north of Milwaukee. It was cold. It was raining. It was muddy. I had fun and I’d do it again! The temp was about 35-40 degrees and I don’t think the rain was any warmer. There were only about 20 racers in the comp class daring enough to do the race – only 6 were lucky enough to beat me! Laps were about six miles each and the comp class did 3 for a total of 18 miles. I came in with about 2hrs of ride time.
This was the first time I had a chance to ride the new Niner E.M.D. 9 1×9 in a race. Despite all the mud, the drivetrain worked perfectly The bike worked great and I can’t wait to ride/race it again.

Gavin at Two Months

Gavin will be 8 weeks old on Oct 9th! The little guy is getting big! Here is a [ link ] for the photos from the past month. There are numerous pictures of big brother holding him on the couch, uncle Seth holding him, an interesting photo of me shaving with him in his snuggly, grandma folding his clothes, dad and Gavin sleeping, cute portraits of him, and a shot of mom not wanting her picture taken
