Blasted Full of Beechwood Mud

I had the pleasure of doing the 2nd Annual Beechwood Blaster this Saturday up in the Kettles north of Milwaukee. It was cold. It was raining. It was muddy. I had fun and I’d do it again! The temp was about 35-40 degrees and I don’t think the rain was any warmer. There were only about 20 racers in the comp class daring enough to do the race – only 6 were lucky enough to beat me! Laps were about six miles each and the comp class did 3 for a total of 18 miles. I came in with about 2hrs of ride time.
This was the first time I had a chance to ride the new Niner E.M.D. 9 1×9 in a race. Despite all the mud, the drivetrain worked perfectly The bike worked great and I can’t wait to ride/race it again.
