As you can see a good number of folks attended the year-end ride at Nine Mile. Technically, it closes the Oct 15th but we normally celebrate the close on the weekend prior.

iPhone Items
Posted by joel on October 7, 2009
After ongoing issues with my Blackberry and continuous, I upgraded to the new iPhone 3Gs. After using my Blackberry Curve 8310 for two years I enjoyed *not* having to tether it to my computer for every little thing. If I wanted updated music content I would pull the mSD card and put music on. If I wanted video off, I would email myself the content. Since I rarely updated my music it was rarely, if ever tethered to my laptop.

From numerous people I’ve had discussions with, the majority suggested that the iPhone was the best convergent device on the market. With that said, there is room for improvement! Here are a few notable suggestions:
- Make USB Syncing optional so that I can sync over wireless on my network.
- Make a lighter version of iTunes – 90Mb install??
- The iStore is a great idea but there is a point of App overload IMHO.
- Offer better customization with regard to the OS (themes, sounds, etc.)
I also considered looking into jailbreaking my iPhone so I could use the web server function / SSH server abilities but that’s not an option with OS 3.1 on a 3Gs . Arg!
Overall, I am impressed with the speed and ease of use of the hand-held but look forward to future improvements.
